Slasher
Stalking the dwelling for days,
One victim already lay dead.
A confusion of white and red
Spilled onto the floor.
Watching, waiting patiently
For a resident to exit the door.
A sharp object glinting in the light,
Eyes glowing with predatory delight.
“Slash, get away from there,” she yelled!
A quick snap of his head,
He held her in an indifferent gaze.
Retracting his claws he eyed
The uncovered tank one last time.
Then curled up on a pillow bed,
Doing as she wished,
Cat-napping
Dreaming of fish.
